Learning from "The Ultimate Shopping Experience": A Retail Learning Tour
Saturday, March 14   11:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
207 A   Anaheim Convention Center
Block: 5    Session: 5-25

Get out there and see what's happening in retail! This is your opportunity to sharpen your retailing and visual merchandising skills through an immersive and engaging learning tour program. You will start with a working lunch—learning what to look for from an industry expert. Then the group takes the "competitive shopping" assignments to "The Ultimate Shopping Experience"—Orange County's South Coast Plaza. About 20 minutes south of the Anaheim Convention Center, this retail venue offers a superb learning lab to critique displays, gather tips on visuals, and hone your understanding of lighting, store layout, and customer service. You will have the chance to visit some of the top retailers for 18- to 25-year old consumers: Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Apple Store, Aveda, Club Monaco, Diesel, H&M, NikeStore, and PUMA. Finally, you will return to the Convention Center to debrief and discuss lessons learned.

This tour is limited to 50 participants; pre-registration is required. Sorry, onsite registration not permitted.
Member Fee: $55, Non-member Fee: $85; fee includes program facilitation, transportation to The South Coast Plaza from the Convention Center, and lunch.
